so many months late (sorry ;_; ), but thanks! yeah one of my tutee's mum used to be a flight attendant for cathay, she was teling me how hard it was... i don't really mind the work i guess, but i just want explore the world and doing it while working seems like a good idea?
hopefully! :D i'm terrible at saving though, my bank account has just plunged yet again because i can't say no to cheap flights ;______;
and um... I'm probably going against the flow here, but if you are serious at all about wanting to be a flight attendant, go for it now:) mainly because on the practical side, most airlines in Asia practice age discrimination DX and your chances of getting a flight attendant job drop with every passing year. But besides that, you should do it while you still have the energy. It's very stressful though, more so than being a teacher, but you will probably be a better teacher for it. It doesn't hurt to send your applications in now and if you are lucky enough to get selected, then I say you should go see the world.:)
You can still go into teaching later, because the education industry isn't nearly as discriminatory as airlines are. and think of the stories you'll have to tell your students when you resume teaching :D
hahah that's alright, it's always good to have both sides of the arguement :D yeah, that's what i'm thinking about, asian airlines in particular are really bad with the whole age discrimination thing so i'm just really scared when i apply a few years down they'll be all "omg you're too old and obviously will just do this for a few years go away we don't need you" :(
and yeah! i think exploring the world before teaching others is a really good experience, especially because i want to stay in international schools, so the experience would definitely help! sadly cathay pacific (the only airline that fits my current criteria for airline companies) wasn't hiring before i signed my contract :(
