is it me or have japanese companies start to 'discover' LJ? first it was kuroshitsuji and now it's the starry sky comm? D:

and now i possibly have an extra x japan ticket >___> *sighs*
edit: yay friend who i got it for took it off me because the ticket she bought was not as good! \(^^)/

The moderators/owners decided to delete it after some correspondence with a few companies. There's a bit more information about it here and the few posts before and after it.

it involved legal issues, LJ, and just a sudden closure of the community. some people are saying it's just weird how it got deleted without any warning (the starry sky comm gave a 24hr warning) while others are just feeling sad for the community and thinking of new comms and all.

So... a company called a cease and desist on an lj comm? Why not just c+d on scanslations, what's the problem with comms? o.O

Well starry sky doesn't have much translations/patches (most of them are external and need to get access to), but there was download links of CDs and games and all. So I gess maybe that? The comm had actually quite strict policies on downloading and stuff, so it's interesting how it got out... Hopefully the other comms don't follow.
