Let's talk bands...

Pukkelpop festival has been awesome. My favourite show was Anti-Flag, in the middle of the afternoon with the sun shining hard. Their songs are really cool and the vibe amongst the audience made me grin the entire time. Yeah, they talk too much about the Economical crisis and the war and Bush and equality and whatever, but their idealism is kinda  ( Read more... )

I saw The Offspring for the first time a few months ago. Agreed: they're kind of awesome. Did you get the crazy "Intermission"?

Intermission? O yeah, the hand waving! I thought that was funny. And the entire crowd played along :)

I didn't know what to expect of it, an old rock band back on tour, but it turned out great. Only downer was the one slow song (on piano). It wasn't a hit with the audience. But still, great concert.

"Intermissionnnnnnn."

When Dexter Holland came out on stage back in June, I was like, "Oooo...you got old!" He totally played like, three songs on his baby grand, too. We apparently loved it. LOL!

The link has expired :( Now I still don't know if I was right about the Intermission being the hands waving.

Luckily, I couldn't see too much of the stage anyway. I concentrated pretty hard on the music, and not on the face of the singer. To avoid the shock. :)

I am so buying their greatest hits album (I actually only own the single 'Pretty fly...').

That sounds like it was a really good festival. And I've heard that about Peaches, a friend who went to FujiRock said she was the best thing there (he's not really a FOB fan so I'll let him off).

Saw Anti-Flag supporting someone (may have been TBS I really can't remember) and they were good live. Suprisingly accessable. And the politics was amusing more than anything, they got the name of the Primeminister wrong so it was kind hard to take them seriously!

I'm going home tomorrow!

It was! I look back on that festival with fond memories. I hope I will see Peaches again, because apparently I know more songs off her than I originally thought and she puts on a good show. But yeah, I wanna see so many bands :)

Anti-Flag was lots of fun. In Scotland, I bought the Big Cheese (something like that anyway) and I had to smile when I read the review of their show. And now I have a poster of the Frank-look-a-like! Woohoo! I like them better live than on cd. Their hyper-ethically-correct one-liners are something to look forward to.

Hope you had a good time at home, and now at Mink's home. I'm home too, since this evening, but it sucks already. I do not like dining with my family. Meh, just a few more weeks till I'm off to Spain.

We can make pancakes :) I'm arriving friday around 6 or 7 pm in Cardiff (I'll look that up for sure when I'm back from Scotland) and I have my train back monday morning (whenever you need me out of the house). I'll be back online september 7th. Have fun girl!
