Chris had absolutely no problem coming home yesterday, bypassing the flooding downtown, so we decided to try to head to the movie after all. Not a single problem!

We enjoyed some Taco Bueno (OMG their cheesecake chimichangas are fantastic!) as well as the movie. Definitely worth the venture out into the non-existent elements.

Yay! We have free passes to go see (500) Days of Summer this Tuesday -- I love free movie passes!

Chris picked up the last one, so double yay for fortunate timing!

We finally went to see HBP this weekend, preceded by some nummy sushi.

We caught a free screening of The Hangover last night. Typical raunchy guy humor but funny if you can see past that, or especially if you enjoy that. Chris hasn't laughed so much during a movie in a very long time.

Whenever it airs on HBO (it's a Warner Bros flick; there's almost a guarantee) I'm sure he's going to watch it repeatedly.

So, Wolverine? Was excellent.

The new Half-Blood Prince trailer was released a few days ago and I missed it as I seem to be completely oblivious to everything lately. I've not seen anyone else mention it, though, so maybe I'm not the only person out of the loop these days ( Read more... )

Went to see Coraline 3D tonight; pretty freakin' awesome. The new RealD technology is absolutely phenomenal and provides a crystal clear three dimensional world with the exception of a couple High Speed Chaos™ scenes, where things then become harder to follow ( Read more... )

So it looks like I watched 45 more new-to-me movies than I did last year, far surpassing the 100 Movies in a Year challenge.

There are a few reasons for this:

1. With Chris not working a fair chunk of the year, we either had plenty of time to watch more stuff or I had plenty of time to watch random movies while he was on the computer.
