I'm glad all this Valentine's gibberish is over.

Does any of you know what Valentine's day is? What are we truly celebrating?

Some history for the interested... )

Not everyone bought someone something for Valentine's Day.

ooc: Dude! I so gave this big long speech on the History of Valentine's Day yesterday morning. No Joke. XD

Most people still did.. without knowing why.

It's such a lucrative business. That's it.

ooc: OMG! Someone else who knows the story of poor Valentine, which we still celebrate but don't really know why.
♥ to you because you are just that cool :)

Some people knew why they bought things yesterday. And I think it was a spectacular reason! ;)

See, there was another reason to celebrate yesterday.

ooc: I went from the Pagan festival to Valentine to how people celebrated it with handmade stuff to statistics of how much money people spend yearly. $100.89 is the average....yeah....I'm full of lots of useless information! ;) ♥

But it's just too much.

A simple card would have done the same. There's no need for all of this "let's see who buys the nicest and biggest present"...

ooc: Wow.. that's a lot of cash.

Brilliant! Meet you in the Great Hall in 5 minutes then.

Dean

*switch*

Dean didn't need to be asked twice. He shut his potion book and threw it on his desk before taking the steps leading to the Great Hall four by four. He looked around, but there were no signs of Bailey. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms loosely across his chest.

Bailey took a few minutes to change out of her school uniform (skirts weren't exactly the best for running) before hurriedly making his way to the Great Hall, easily spotting Dean leaning against the wall.

"I'm totally gonna kick your butt this time," she said with a grin as she approached him.

Dean raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "Oh yeah? We'll see about that." He gave her a taunting smile.

"Well you're not going to beat me standing here. Let's go." He pushed himself off the wall and walked out onto the ground, breathing in the fresh air. A small cool breeze made the stems of the trees rock back and forth. Perfect condition for running.

"I love the end of winter," he claimed with an inward smile.
