Summary: You, a normal student, wishes for something more thrilling. Will you, as a person, fight for what you wish for?
Or perish?
Your Destiny awaits you.
Repick your choices? You decide to investigate the cry for help.
But you just didn't know how.
"H-help me..."
The muted sound of an explosion far away caught your attention.
Tch.
You clenched the handlebars of your scooter tightly, going through many possibilities.
You picked the best one.
"Ashley!"
You turned back to look at her as you slowed down to a complete stop by the side of the road and swung your legs off the scooter in a fluid motion. She looked at you; completely dumbfounded.
"W-what are you doing...?"
Your eyes twitched in response, your eyebrows furrowed.
Wasn't it obvious...? Wait, she didn't hear the voice...
"I am going to check out something for a while..."
You tossed your helmet at her; which she caught, and patted your scooter affectionately.
"Take care of it, if I don't see it in a mint condition..."
You drew your hand across your throat and made a beheading motion (accompanied with the sound of someone getting beheaded).
You then smiled pleasantly but you made sure you were exuding a scary aura before turning away, towards the direction of the explosion.
Ashley laughed nervously.
"Y-yeah, sure... but how do you drive this thing!?"
She examined the scooter fervently for something that could make the scooter move.
"You'll find out one way or another."
The moment you said that, you immediately ran towards the railings of the flyover and looked at the roads below.
So it wasn't an explosion...
Grey smoke billowed towards the sky as your eyes darted upward.
Ashley shouted at you, calling you to come back, but you ignored her and examined the scene that has just unfolded at the construction site just opposite where you're standing right now.
A part of the skeleton of the building was damaged and there was a trailer; it's front was dented from what you could see and it was positioned as if it tried to swerve out of the way to avoid some vehicle (from what you have deduced).
Particles of light started forming on the top of the trailer before dispersing into nothing.
You blinked and rubbed your eyes, taking off your protective gear (which is just a pair of sunglasses) in the process.
What... what was that?
A small crowd has gathered around the unmoving trailer; on the railings of the pavement, some on the sidewalks and then some on the roads. Most of the onlookers had their mobile phones in their hands (presumably taking pictures of the accident that had just happened), not one of them moving to check if there was any casualties.
"Aah, look over there!"
"Whoah, nasty."
"What, was there an accident?"
"Probably a drunk driver."
You could hear drifts of what they were talking about from where you were at.
Tch...
You clenched your hands tightly on the cylindrical surface of the rails, biting your lower lip in dissatisfaction.
Haughty Britannians...
You narrowed your eyes dangerously, biting down harder on your lip (but not hard enough to draw blood).
That's why I hate Britannians, they only care about themselves...
You scanned the area of the flyover that was overlooking the scene below for a way down.
A ramp!
You ran all the way down the ramp, your heart beating wildly in excitement.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
You arrived at the scene, panting loudly and bending over slightly to support your upper body with your arms on your knees.
You were really tired from all that running, too tired to realize someone else reached the trailer ahead of you.
You eventually caught your breath and slowly approached the dented vehicle, examining the box of cargo attached to it. You ran to the front of the trailer, which was stuck in the building's skeleton, trying to wedge the pieces of wood and debris out of the way but no avail.
You couldn't hear any body coughing from the smoke or calling out for help, so you assumed they (The passenger and the driver) were safe, just only knocked out.
A built-on ladder leading up to the opening of the metal box located at the side caught your attention, almost near the side of the trailer. You placed a ginger hand on the bottom rung, testing out it's strength before hauling yourself up, slowly ascending to the top of the trailer, rung by rung.
"You came..."
The voice echoed inside your head loudly; almost as if it was very near.
Wha-
Your inner thoughts were cut off as the engine revved and started reversing, the violent motion causing you to fall forward into the opening of the box. Barely catching a glimpse of a black blazer, you tumbled (painfully) to the side and your back collided with the wall of the metal box with a soft, metallic 'thud'.
"O...owww..."
You muttered at the bottom of your breath as you went on all fours (three, you meant ), your other hand rubbing your back in an attempt to sooth the pain. The floor beneath your palms and knees vibrated; you could feel that the trailer was gradually gaining speed.
Like it was running away...
"Warning! Surrender yourself now and you still have a chance to defend yourself in court!"
A loud voice boomed from a megaphone from above.
W-what are they talking abou-
Your eyes widened in mid-thought.
The seriousness of the situation had hit you.
You had just heard some news of terrorrists and now...
No, I'm now in a terrorrist trailer...?!
"Surrender yourself AT ONCE!"
The same voice again.
I have to look for a way out!
The truck swered violently to the sides as the familiar shots of a gun rang from outside. You gasped and lost your balance, bumping your head on some pod-like object. You let out a silent gasp of pain as you blinked the tears away; you were sure that the edges of the object (that looked suspiciously like it was screwed shut) cut your head, you could already feel something wet trailing down your forehead.
The coppery smell of blood hit your nostrils.
"The next rounds will hit! Surrender yourselves!"
You grimaced in pain as you tried to wipe away the blood away with your sleeves; it gradually lessened each time you wiped.
Your head throbbed rythmically to your heartbeat; all sounds and sights went dull then sharp, reverting back to dull.
I-I've got to g-get out of here...
Hssssssssssss....
A door further up hissed open; click-clacking of boots could be heard afterwards.
You crouched as low as possible; using the pod-like object in front of you to conceal yourself as much as possible with your back against the suface of the pod, still holding your sleeve against your forehead.
A red knightmare was sitting immobile infront of you.
A knightmare...?
"Tch."
You growled softly.
I have to be alert!
"Can you enter the subway via the Azabu route?"
A woman's voice.
"Kallen! Let's use it here!"
This time an electronic transmission of a voice through a transceiver.
"That would mean a slaughter!"
The woman protested.
"Mhmm, you're right..."
Clack.
Clack.
Clack
You narrowed your eyes. She slowly passed you and ascended some stairs up to the knightmare.
The lack of light in the trailer hid most of her features from you, not allowing you to take a good look at her face.
Is she planning to...?
The low humming of the hatch at the end of the trailer being opened proved your thoughts right.
The old Glasgow model Knightmare jumped out of the trailer and began its attack on the helicopters above. The last you saw was barely a glimpse of that very knightmare being piloted very expertly to dodge some bullets being fired from the helicopters.
The trailer went straight forward for a short while, before swerving left after a few rounds of gunshots.
The Brittanian army must have intercepted this vehicle's direction!
Inside of the trailer's cargo box, it slowly got darker.
We must be speeding along the old subway lines. Probably heading towards the ghetto.
Your heart thumped erratically between your ribs; you liked the idea of danger.
But you were scared at the same time.
The trailer seemed to have hit a bump (or a pothole) and you felt it moving violently back and forth; making you sway along with it. You held onto the pod nearest to you.
The violent swaying stopped and you released your hold on the pod.
Tchk.
Hnnnnmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Another door leading to the cargo box opened and some light filtered in through the cracks
And then you heard it.
Your heart skipped a beat.
Clack.
Clack.
Clack.
A soft subtle sound of someone running AND it came from somewhere further up the cargo box, near the door.
Someone else was in here with me!
You breathed slowly, so as to not alert the other person of your presence.
It (the presence you sensed) slowly creeped towards an identical pod up front.
Dshk!
A man grunted out it pain and thudded on the floor, from where you were, you could only see the top of his head.
"A-a Brittanian-!"
Click.
It wasn't the sound of a gun being loaded, it was more like a small click; like opening a lock or...
"Enough with the killing!"
A different voice from the one before said.
There were two people in here?! And they're FIGHTING?!
"W-wait, I am..."
He sounds strangled and like he was forcing his words out.
"I can't believe people like you would use poison gas!"
Poison gas in the pods?!
Goblets of sweat started forming on all exposed patches of your skin, turning into trails of cold sweat. You didn't want to die as soon as the poison gas was released from the pod but you listened to the conversation with interest.
"I'm telling you-!"
"Don't play dumb!"
The second man cut off the words of the first.
Dshk!
Legs collided with each other and something whistled in the air and landed on the floor.
"Any poison gas here was made by Britannia, right?!"
The first man exploded with anger.
"You...?"
The second man sounded surprised.
"You don't want more deaths?!"
The first man seemed to be getting closer to the second, then he continued.
"Then obliterate Britannia!"
"Lelouch...?"
Lulu...?! What is he doing here?!
You bit your lower lip, the sweat on your body increased in volume.
"It's me, Suzaku."
SUZAKU?! What is HE doing here as well?!
Lelouch gasped.
"You became a Britannian Soldier...?"
Suzaku is a soldier of Britannia?
"And you? Don't tell me...!"
Suzaku sounded more surprised than betrayed.
"What are you saying?!"
The pod in front burst into a bright light; flashing lights the colours of the rainbow.
You peeped from behind your own pod just to be met with the sight of a girl in white in a yellow globule of liquid-light.
A girl...? A woman...?
"It's not poison gas?"
Both Suzaku and Lelouch looked at the girl in wonder.
The globule popped, leaving only the girl in a straight-jacket behind, wet and unconscious.
Both Suzaku and Lelouch brough the girl out from her pod and placed her on the ground; outside the trailer.
"Answer me Suzaku. Poison gas? This girl?"
"But that's what we were told during the briefing!"
Suzaku unzipped the bottom part of the girl's straight-jacket as he spoke.
A switch was flipped and a bright light shone down on them.
You only could retreat slightly backwards from the open door of the trailer.
"Darn, monkey. Even an honorary Britannian don't have the authority to do what you did!"
A man in a millitary uniform with half a squadron of soldiers armed with guns were at the opposite of the trailer.
Suzaku ran up to his superior and tried to explain.
"But I was told that this was poison gas!"
"You have no right to protest!"
Tch.
I must help them somehow.
"However, in reward for your great achievements, I'll be merciful."
You sighed inwardly in relief.
"Private Kururugi, use this to execute the terrorist."
Suzaku's superior handed him a gun.
B-britannians...
You bit your lip in horror.
But he didn't take it.
"He isn't a terrorist, He's a civillian who got caught up in this!"
"You...!"
His superior seemed angry.
"This is an order! Didn't you swear loyalty to Britannia?"
"Yes."
Lelouch gasped but Suzaku continued.
"But I can't."
"What?!"
"I won't do it. I won't shoot a civilian. Not him."
"Then die."
The gun was pressed against Suzaku's side and fired.
"Suzaku!"
Lelouch cried out.
Your eyes widened at the horror, your hands automatically clenched tightly into fists.
S-Suzaku...
"You look like a Britannian student, but today is not your lucky day..."
The man sneered and issued an order to his squad.
"After you've retaken the girl, kill the student!"
"Yes, my lord."
The front of the trailer exploded, blowing up a generous amount of metal out from the cargo box leaving you litte or no choice but to do something before the smoke cleared up.
Do you;
A) Open the second pod and save the person inside, to run away with them. or
B) Run away, while leaving the pod behind.
