I remember reading somewhere that part of the weight is holding on to things so by starting to let go you give yourself permission to let go of the weight and the issues involved.

Glad you like the dinner club!

Viz. Dinner club: sounds like a nice excuse to get myself out of the house for dinner. :o)

Viz. clothing: am always of the opinion that more closet space is a good thing, but I'm down to a third of the clothing I had in college, so take that with a grain of salt.

See I have overful closets and I figure I need to cull but sometimes it's hard!

Dinner club. See people have kinda scattered and I'd like to organise meeting up with people a bit better.

I kept a lot of mine for years, then got rid of it, and I'm still not fitting into the few pieces I have left. I like the idea of rewarding myself with new clothing when I finally get to my goal weight.

Some of the only pieces I'm thinking of keeping are the formal things and stuff like my wedding dress!

Heh. My wedding dress is now too big for me; I got married at my highest weight. I've been thinking of having it cut down when I reach my goal weight and having many of my wedding pictures retaken.

Now that's vanity.
