There are days when I would automate ribbing. I have one of the socks for grutok done, the next one I have to remember needs the toe done inside out, grutok suffers from recurring ingrown toenail and I'd like to have the smooth side beside his toe rather than the rough side. Socks are so addicting. I want to do a pair for Harlan when I get this pair I'm working on done, but he likes his leg parts longer. I may have to figure out some increases or decreases for that, or see what I can find in patterns. I found a pattern for hiking socks that might work.

Do you graft your toes? Or are you working from the toe up?

I grafted the toes. One of the things I like about knitting socks is that it doesn't have as much strain on my hands and my dodgy thumb isn't complaining. I may yet have to start into modular knitting!

I plan to make the Wyvern socks soon, they're toe up and will be my first toe up socks. How could I resist with a name like that?

I should put the Wyvern socks on my Ravelry queue (or I might already have them there). I'm new to socks and finding all sorts of patterns. I need to learn to convert a few to two circulars, which are so nice for trying on as I go (and for avoiding laddering). Toe up socks sound like fun. Surely they can't be more difficult than cuff down. The pattern would be perfect for you. I'll watch for pictures!
