There are days when I would automate ribbing. I have one of the socks for grutok done, the next one I have to remember needs the toe done inside out, grutok suffers from recurring ingrown toenail and I'd like to have the smooth side beside his toe rather than the rough side. Interesting watching on BBC Ray Mears' Wild Food where he's working with some Australian Aborigines to see how hunter gatherers get food. Some of the tools are so temporary and would be dismissed as broken shells or would have rotted away, beautifully woven bags and everything. That fire was so important. Finished the Teddy Bear Reading thing that I've been kinda doing in work. Took bloody long enough.
It will be too soon if I ever do another small piece (c9 cm or c3.5" square at the widest points) with 5 different shades of brown! -

So I've cought up with my mail, am stitching away but I wish I was at home so that I could pick something else up. The Waistcoat I'm knitting is going to be beautiful but I really feel a need to stitch something simpler, so I'm crocheting squares again for a bedcover I've been working on for quite a long while, it's all in pastels, mostly ( Read more... )
