Quickly the two children darted forward and toward the light, they could hear a sort of frantic moaning coming from the glow ahead of them. As they got close they were astonished by what they could see. Another faery, of course, but what a faery! A fiery faery!
Were those legs or wheels turning furiously on the spot? Fred and Sue could not be sure

i'm very glad the end wasn't a let down - i really had a lot of fun telling the story to the children but i wasn't sure that that would translate to something worth reading here.

the kids were having a double 7th birthday (a boy and a girl) and they were the oldest of the motley - so it was interesting to try and work out what they might like.
this and the Peter story were definitely for a younger crowd than the Nina story you read earlier.
