Yes I'm still alive, just very sporadic on the posting. Generally because my life is pretty much the same day to day and when there are exciting events I'm much to swept up to remember to post and tell you all.

Why "teachers" and "professors"?
I read an old acquaintance's blog today; on the subject of why we call teachers and professors such. Most of it was a rant at the higher education system and how professors were simply "professing" their opinions on the field, essentially spouting nothing but bullshit to students. Panic at the laundry room
Had a 5 minute panic this afternoon when I realised I had nothing black to wear. Which made no sense since I had just done laundry this past Sunday ( Read more... ) -

So people in Chicago have "minimal" trouble driving in snow, rain however is another story. At least I'm assuming that rain's the reason I've heard 3 ambulances in the last half an hour. Or that could just be because I live between two major hospitals. -
Music lessons
I'm considering starting up flute lessons again. It's been a loooong time since I had any, but I do want to get back into playing the flute. Found somewhere right by campus that offers them too. Hmm shall have to think further on this. -
