I saw Beowulf this weekend, the new CGI movie. I liked the beginning and I liked the end, but not so much the middle part with Grendel's mother. It seriously deviated from the story. On the other hand, they kept in Beowulf's boasting and the final battle with the dragon. It was much better than the usual adaptations where Beowulf not only lived

I just saw the new Beowulf as well and I thought it was a decent spin on the old tale. I lament though that there is no more originality left in Hollywood anymore. Stay tuned for Beowulf 2: Even More Killing and Stuff.

Yeah, I'm fully expecting a sequel to Beowulf. It will probably be a trilogy because nothing can stand alone.
