Went to sleep after a bath, feeling quite happy and relaxed, planning to wake (a little bit late) and write.  The clarity of the memories brought on by finding my old jewelry led me to believe I'd be in good form after a bit of rest.

It would be easier if I didn't have to avoid corn. Corn syrup or corn starch is in nearly everything! And corn flour is in nearly everything made to avoid all gluten. *sigh*

How could I have been used to feeling that way? How did I get anything done?

But hugs right back at you!

We should pick a topic and run a nice long thread in the Torn World forums while everyone else is off doing other things--got any part of the world you'd like to brainstorm together in front of everyone's noses, to surprise them when they next look?

ooh good idea,

Maybe we could drag up some old threads from the bottom of the heap, some useful bits down there that may have been forgotten?

I'm sorry to hear you were so ill. I don't have any food allergies but know many friends who do and it's always amazing to me to see what they put wheat/glutten in. It's never practical to make every single thing yourself but then you risk something like this if you eat out. I can't imagine the time and effort that takes to deal with, not to mention when it goes wrong like this time.

Bummer about the freezer. :( We had a similar incident a few years ago, before we got our current freezer. Now our model has a beep if the doors are left open too long. :) It's saved us a few times, although it's also a pain when you're unpacking groceries.
