you shouldnt feel guilty you reacted that way,,, its probably just because you are not used to seeing gays being affectionate thats why ^_^

with regards to how people react whenever they see lesbians and gays,,, and they think they are gross etc,,, >>> its probably because that is how they see other people around them react when they see them (gays/lesbians),,, and that they got used to it and therefore they react the same way,,,
