17/00z model runs are out. General consensus is a further north/right track. At this point we're watching between the TX/MX border, and southern LA. The UKMET model shows a due north turn after the storm makes landfall. And speaking of forecast changes and last monure corrections, the mother of all changes has got to be Opal.
AS my mother used to tell it they went to bed thinking it was going to LA, and checked the weather at 5 Am to find that they needed to baord up and get the fuck out. It took them 11 hours to get to B'ham because of traffic.
