Slow news day for the Beeb, eh? They've run stories on these signs before (the original article has a roundup), but this is the first that I've seen pop up on LiveJournal in so many places (first languagelog and linguaphiles, then various personal journals).

It really is breathtaking to me to consider how many people must've seen this sign before it was mounted and yet not one had the Welsh to realise what it said. Da iawn, Dinas a Sir Abertawe!
