I received that Scholarship for the conference to KY.

Most people would be happy, huh? LOL

I just received the notice by e-mail and must confirm soon. I was hoping, when I opened the e-mail, that it would say something like this:

"We're sorry to inform you that you were not selected as a recipient for this year's Scholarship. Furthermore

Oh! I was hoping that the email will say .. "... the venue for the conference has been moved to Reno and you need only have 10% of attendance..". No chance of that?

I just replied to that e-mail, and CC'd my boss, and told them I was ditching the Conference to go meet my friends I met over the internet.

*sigh* Unfortunately, I do. My boss has been after me to go to this one since last year. Ugh.

But...hmmmm...I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to convince them of an illness with no cure around her in this po-dunk town. :)

What a bummer about that scholarship! So there's no getting out of it then? If only it was like M suggested... the email had read it's going to be held in Reno. What a perfect world that would be! ;)

Surprisingly, I feel pretty good today. I'm sure I'll crash tonight...two late nights in a row, my body's probably just still in shock. LOL

The one time I didn't want to win something. LOL I think my boss thinks this Conference is important...she even mentioned it in my interview, but I wiggled out of it last year. *sigh* Can't press my luck. LOL

Wouldn't that change of venue been perfect!
