Because we all know this to be true....
You know, watching the new Star Trek was somewhat like watching the red shirts prance around before their inevitable demise. I couldn't help thinking as the movie was playing, some unfortunate director was charging a defibrillator and yelling out, "CLEAR" as they tried to shock some life into the old series.
