Off topic: I'm just marveling at the shear number of tags. O.O

Hahaha, yeah I didn't think about that, I'm part of some communities that use a ridiculous number of tags, so this didn't seem too over-the-top...

I haven't finished reading all of them, but thanks for sharing this. (I just really dislike Twilight for these very reasons. -.-)

What I like best about this is that a guy is the one making these reviews...At least some people still believe in equality and can see through what is sexism at its best. ><

What I wonder is how Stephanie Meyers herself can stand to be a female, the way she portrays female characters?

He not only sees the sexism and misogyny, he also pointed out an instance of transphobia in the books, which most people don't catch. I liked him and his reviews before then, but when I read that one, it just made me respect him and his opinions that much more.

He's a very perceptive guy, and it's hard not to like him, especially with his recent Harry Potter reviews.

Breaking Dawn, Chapter 16

The belief that a woman isn't complete without her reproductive ability is both misogynistic (by reducing a woman down to her ability to get pregnant) and on a much deeper level, transphobic (by insinuating that a trans woman can never be a complete woman because she lacks a uterus).

Bookmarking his site for later.
Kind of off topic, but it always bugs me that I never caught any of this when I read through the series a few years back. Not even the pointless filler descriptions. :(

OT, but Mark is now reading Harry Potter and I love it. Loved his Twilight sporkings too.

It's wonderful, isn't it? He ADORES Harry Potter, and reading the reviews through his excitement-filled eyes is like reliving the magic all over again. Where reading his Twilight reviews fills with despair, his HP reviews are pure happiness. :-D

I love his HP reviews c: It's like watching a kid on Christmas morning get everything he asked Santa for XD

My boyfriend and I have been following his HP reviews and we're constantly like, "OMG I CANT WAIT TILL HE GETS TO THIS PART" and "OMG HOW IS HE GOING TO REACT TO THAT?" and so on and so forth. I'm almost sad he's burning through them so fast, since that means his fun reviews will be over sooner :(
