Twilight and (what else?) sexism

Aug 28, 2010 11:57

Hello. First-time poster, long time watcher here. Please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to send my entry to a mod first or just hit the post button...

Anyway. I'm sure we've all read/raged about the complete and utter misogyny and sexism in the Twilight series, and really, I wouldn't bring it up again. But I had to post about this brilliant blog, Mark Reads Twilight (http://markreadstwilight.buzznet.com). He reads the book chapter by chapter and reviews it, writing some of the most hilarious, cringe-worthy, and frighteningly true reviews I've ever read. The whole thing is worth reading (if you can stomach it),  but  I thought that these three were especially appropriate:

Just...read them. Really.
