One point for Awareness

Hi

I wanted to show you a piece of anti-male sexism like it was and sadly still is implemented in society.

As an example, here have the story of David Reimer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Reimer
cut because of the reference of male genitalia )

I wonder if there's any medical indication that the size of a penis before puberty has jack diddly to do with what it looks like post-puberty. I know, er, mine kinda sprang forth rather violently around age 12, but my endocrine system is kinda hyper so that might be the cause of that. Honestly? I really think a guy can get along just fine with a smaller-than-average penis, long as he learns early that this one thing doesn't define your person or your masculinity or ANYTHING AT ALL, but... learn to get along with being made into a woman, and not even really a woman but actually a man with a vagina, at an age when you didn't even have a say in the matter? I'm thinking that's going to cause major problems. Like, the kind of problems they make cop thriller sociopathic serial killer movies about.

Naw it doesn't drag on the ground or anything but jeez, it was practically overnight I was like uh, Mom? Can I get some uh... different underwear? Or something? I'm sure it's worse when it happens with boobs, from plain undershirt to c-cup in a week, OMG hide 'em 'cuz 12 year old boys won't stop staring.

Mine didn't spring forth violently, they crept forth unassumingly. ;-)

I think the weird things that sprout out of the bodies of teenagers are probably equally embarrassing across genders. I know I never had to sneak out of a classroom with a book covering my bits, that's for sure..

The documentary about this case was really moving. What an awful experience.

That is so horrible. I can't even begin to comprehend the pain and suffering that poor man went through.

Thats horrible.
What an awful thing to have to try and COPE with growing up.
As a society so much emphasis is placed on Penis size for men, its unfair. Not to mention all those "racial jokes" about size out there.

I cant even begin to imagine what it would be like to be "trapped" in a body that I know "isnt right for me"
