I figured it was bad north of us. We've got lots of rain here, too, in Temecula... and it's coming in our back door. Yet we're lucky compared to the people next door to us, who have their house terraced a few feet lower.

I live more near the TJ border, Near Imperial Beach AND usually I have a active social life but the past couple of days I have been staying home, so it was easy for me too miss.

Yeah, several of my friends and acquaintances in Laguna were trapped in their homes today by the floodwater and debris from mudslides. Hadn't heard about the guy in the drainage channel in Irvine, though. Intense!

Driving on the 405 just north of Long Beach today was the most harrowing vehicle/water experience I've ever had, and I've literally forded a river or two in my tiny car.

It's supposed to be mostly cleared up by tomorrow, I hear, but I'll believe that when I see it. :P

Our portion of the state was just not intended for this much rain. Native San Diegan, current San Bernardino resident here, hiding out in an unaffected area. I just hope to god the mud didn't slide behind my house/a tree didn't fall on it. :/
