Now see, THIS story sounds a lot closer to the stories they told us in "Human Development" class back in High School. They made it sound like a girl could get pregnant just by THINKING about sperm. Then, when I was actually TRYING to conceive, I could not get pregnant to save my life (never did due to bilateral blocked fallopian tubes)...turns out I just needed a good old knifing! :p

This sounds akin to that whole civil war story of a guy getting shot in the nuts and the bullet with his sperm passed through a woman's abdomen and resulted in a baby. I'm pretty sure they found that to be implausible, but still, really bizarre concept. Gonna agree with the mythbusters comment.

The fallopian tubes are open-ended and don't attach directly to the ovaries, so it probably migrated into the uterus from there. If this happened at all, which is pretty fucked up.

They are known to swim out into the abdominal cavity from the fallopian tubes - so it's only logical that they also can swim the other way.

And on top of that, note that the ovaries release the egg directly into the abdominal cavity, whence they are pretty directly picked up by the Fallopian tubes--so presumably the sperm could follow a similar path.
