'Bespectacled' just means that distinctive pale marking around it's face.

Ditto that. Did they ever figure out what that thing was? Had the boyfriend keeping tabs on Jones Beach (I'm an ex employee, he's been there 20 years) but we weren't so lucky as to get any mystery wash-ups :P
