Yeah! It's eleven kinds of fun. A medic friend of mine who also has it reckoned it was something to do with the collagen in the skin, but I was too busy beating her at noughts and crosses on her own thigh to listen, really.
I am very, very glad that I don't have it severely enough that it causes me grand inconvenience, though. My skin reds up with light, sharp pressure, rather than just.. any touch whatsoever. There has to be a bit of force to it. So it's not like I carry a continual imprint of my clothes or anytihng.
Ugh, I have it a little bit, and it pisses me off when after slightly scratch my neck or smth and the red marks appear my friends are all, "What the hell is on your neck???" God, I'm not dying, I just scratched my fucking neck. Big deal.
Yeah people overreact a lot. I have sensitive skin too (not this condition, but another one that is also irritating) and at the height of an outbreak folks are like OH MY EFFING GOD WHY DO YOU HAVE A RED DRY SPOT WHERE YOU JUST SCRATCHED?!
It's like..lighten up, will ya? I don't want attention called to it :/
