Never thought I'd have something to post here, but it figures it came from PetSmart.

Last week, I bought crickets, and as I was tossing them in my lizard's cage, I noticed one had another, dead cricket stuck to him. I tried to shake them loose, but no go. On closer inspection, it turns out there was only one cricket, with a giant growth coming out

Usually I BAH at people trying to post pictures of bugs they've found, but this is awesome. His wing cases are all deformed too eehehh

As for preserving him...

Get a BALL mason jar, drop him in, and then fill with either mineral oil or rubbing alcohol (but I'm not sure if the alcohol will break down the dead tissue)...
This is a guess, and if I'm blowing monkeys out of my butt, please, for the love of cheese, somebody give better advice!
Oh yeah, and secure the lid on the jar.

Ive had cricket mutations when I'd buy em for my tarantula, scorpions, and/or lizards. I mean, not a million times, but a couple times.
