yes they are a specialty of the casa at the local chinese seafood restaurant and are OK tasting. i prefer the oysters in XO sauce but wevs.

we have family on vancouver island that we stay with every christmas. there's a beach there (parksville) that has a really crazy low tide, and in the winter, if it's cold and there are a lot of sea birds, you walk along the low tide line and find hundreds of dead, slimy, stinky geoducks just laying around, half-eaten. it's hot. (also, i pronounce it 'gooey-duck'. is that wrong?)

Nope, that's quite right. (I'm from NW Washington and grew up with a stuffed toy geoduck!)
