Boy, you need to go on a pelagic seabird trip (much more successful for whales than actual whale spotting tours I find), or spend a few nights down at Cheyne's Beach in September. When I was there a family of Southern Right Whales where having a grand time in the bay - clearly visible from the shore by day and keeping everyone awake by night with their antics.
