Me, too! I love frogs, so I was all excited and wanted to see some frog that took down herds of dinosaurs or something like that, but was vastly underwhelmed. :( I mean, 16 inches is still nothing to sneeze at for an amphibian, but . . . could have been cooler. :P

And yet it probably ate dinosaurs. What could be cooler than that apart from it having wings and taking on whole herds of triceratops and/or pterodactyls

Aussie Toadzilla vs Madagascan Beelzebufo -- DEATHMATCH! drjon February 19 2008, 02:34:58 UTC
Toadzilla was 15 inches long -- but only 2 pounds in weight.

Mind you, that 10 pounds quoted for Beelzebufo was only an estimate.

One wonders if Beelzebufo was toxic...

It's unlikely it was toxic, judging from its close relatives - their primary defense after camouflage is "Bite. Hard." and given that they're mostly an enormous mouth with a frog attached....

Excellent!

Beelzebufo tries to eat Toadzilla. Toadzilla slips out in a froth of toxic slippy foam. Beelzebufo becomes extinct, Toadzilla wins!
