It turned out a bit more angst-ridden then I had planned but I think it fits with who they both are.
::sigh:: now you've got my brain spinning on the epilogue I wasn't going to write lol...

Great idea for a cross-over. And as mentioned above...my two fav fandoms and I second the request for a post-dinner epilogue.
Just a couple of things though...
Part 1: ...Daniel simply walked out line...
Is this missing a word/s: 'walked out of the line...
Also, did you research a person's age when joining the Mossad? It's my understanding that unless it was very special circumstances, a person would have needed to complete their mandatory service in the IDF first before going into the Mossad. Although, a person might be recruited while doing their mandatory service. I know a few people that were in the Mossad that I could query if you are interested.
These are just little small nits that don't detract from the story in any way and that most people wouldn't think about.
In closing, I really enjoyed this.

I had actually thought a little about the mandatory service but what kept throwing me off about including it was that in all of the three seasons we've had Ziva on NCIS there has never been any mention of her military service or even college/university. She's only ever talked about her Mossad training. Part of me wonders, given who her father is and the evidence of his other machinations (i.e. Ari), if Ziva was groomed specifically for Mossad. And with her father's rank and/or ties, I doubt it would be difficult for him to have her mandatory service waived or have her time in Mossad count towards it. It's tough to call without more canon information. So in the story I went with the Mossad only-route.
I've got some ideas for an epilogue, after all, we know Ziva likes to cook ;)

I think Ziva doesn't bring up her mandatory service because it's one of those things that everyone does. It's as much a part of life as eating and breathing. No discussion, it's just a done deal.
Now. What division or part of the IDF one goes into...that is discussed and planned for like someone trying to select a university/college.
In conclusion to this little convo, I am more than happy to go with your take on the situation especially when there might be a prologue in the offing. : D
Have a great weekend!

Awesome story! I liked the idea of Daniel being Ziva's tutor a really plusible way of having them to meet.
And I second the idea for a sequel, so I'm happy it sounds like you have an idea for it.

Since I've reviewed elsewhere, I'm just going to hop on the sequel bandwagon *leaps aboard* and to encourage you to write that story about Gibbs and Jack going fishing. *nudge* I don't care if it's at the lake, river, ocean *nudge* or whether they are buddies or lovers. *nudge-nudge* You do those two so well, it will be good no matter what. *nudge*
oooops! *blush* Sorry 'bout that. *helps CJ to feet*
Have a cookie! And a Caf-Pow! And consider what Abby's reaction would be to having two silver-haired foxes in her lab. ;) *smirk*
