I also just don't write about the real world. I am not at all inspired to write about grit. I wish I could.

I know exactly how you feel. All of my writing has magic or werewolves or demons in it. It's crazy, to a lot of people, but I can't seem to write "normal" stories. I'm okay with that. (Although this one chick that I used to work with was telling people that I believe in vampires. IDK.)

Anyway, welcome and good luck with your writing.

It's weird. Some of my favourite writing is about real world situations and yet I just can't get them down on paper without wanting to add some sort of supernatural element.

So, how did they all react when they thought you believed in vampires?

Just the one girl did. But she was trying to tell everyone "She believes in this stuff! Vampires and Werewolves and Magic!" My boss just looked at her and said "oh my." lol. Everyone pretty much ignored this chick. She was a whole different brand of crazy.

Have you posted any of your writing? I'd love to read something you wrote.

LOL!

There are a few bits and bobs on my journal... But as I say, I'm just starting writing again so there's very little there at the moment. I'd love to know what you think though! Even, or especially, if it's bad.

That does sound fascinating...

My main problem with the story at the moment is that I'm worried it's disrespectful to people who actually have the condition... since, me being me, I've added some demonic elements. I started to think about the scenes where various personalities are worried about losing themselves if they integrate and started to think about them actually being separate souls... So if I can write it right then it would be a creepy story.

But it might also sound like I was making light of something that sounds quite distressing. And I wouldn't want to do that.

What's your feeling?

BTW, headpirates is an awesome way of putting it.
