So my mom is at the ER with Jeff. He might have a bloodclot in his leg. But stupid ER people can't give him an ultrasound until tomorrow. They tell them this after they waited for them to call all these people to come do the ultrasound. So now they have to wait for bloodwork to come back which my mom thinks will take another 42 hours. Like, srsly. ( Read more... )

WOAH. Seriously...I got a CT scan at like, wait...no, I did go in early for that...

But really, with the ultrasound, if they find anything that's really gonna hurt him, they won't wait for the reports, they'll get him ready and get that shit out.

And if they don't...move to a place with a better hospital lol. Dead serious. I know our hospital wouldn't screw with all the nonsense if someone needs something, especially a blot clot. Well, unless it's pretty stable, then they'd go more in depth as to why he has one and such, from the blood work.

BUT.

Assuming he'll be admitted, he shouldn't be doing anything that would make it break off. People have clots for YEARS and never know about them.

they got home about an hour after I posted this and he still hadn't had an ultrasound. But he spent the night here and had the ultrasound done the next day. Turns out it's not a clot even tho the doc was 99% sure it was. If he'd gone to the walk-in clinic he would have gotten in and out with a diagnosis. I know bc that's where my pcp sent me when they thought I had an apendicitis. They said I'd get help quicker than if I went to the ER. Wasn't there five minutes and they diagnosed me with kidney stones.

At least he doesn't have a blood clot. But we're still not sure what it is. He has to go for an MRI next. Fingers crossed that this will be the last test and it'll be figured out.
