How time flies, huh?

Speaking about time, when's the next occasion you and your father will be in town? Bring Maya with you then, will ya? I'm starting to forget how she looks like.

When I was little that many years seemed like forever away! But I guess he got out a little early, anyway, didn't he? Well. I should pray for his soul's safe passage, I guess.

We're here every weekday for school, Mister Nick! And it might be tough to get her away from Kurain, now that she's accepted her masterhood... (is that a word?) But me and Father would be happy to come see you! At least I would!!

Taunting the damned, Wright? That's bad for your karma.

Hey now, I haven't been up to anything terrible all week; I think my meter can take a few dings.

Besides, I'm just sending some well wishes his way--there's nothing wrong with that, is there?

Nothing wrong at all.

As for what you've been up to, since I've been out of town I'll have to take your word for it. Shall we catch up over dinner some time this week?

Any time that works for you. I'll be at the same place, as always.

You bring me anything back from the Big Apple?

Engarde must have retreated into the darkness that only those who are the objects of sycophancy can know, losing himself in the inky blackness of people who do not love him so he could be shielded from the world.

I wonder if he still gets fan mail, and how thin that brew must be by now.

Are you on your English-major type poetry shit again? Me, I just wonder if his ass is gonna be grass before or after he makes it back to the city limits from Bloodspill.

The faculty actually has a pool going as to how far he'll manage to make it before he bites the big one.

My money is that he's involved in a traffic accident, because if life has taught me anything, it is to expect bitter irony.

...I could make that happen, you know.

'Cause my cart's wheels give me leverage, but in truth, that shit's heavy enough to crush a man.

I see you're still kicking about. I thought this journal had been long since abandoned.

Did you now. I'm surprised you replied so quickly, then.

Nothing much to do around the office?

Never enough for my tastes, though I have other things occupying my time of late.

I haven't purged my journal, which is why your entry showed up. My luck, I suppose, I'd completely forgotten how close Engarde's parole actually was. I'd have been disappointed if I'd missed the fun entirely.

Seems like we're holding a celebration at the Gust come Saturday. Would you be up for that, or do you already have plans?

Hmmm Matt Engarde... That name sounds familiar, pal.

Anyway, I've been doing great, thanks! Well, not counting the cute food poisoning, but stuff like that happens ya know?

Looks like your tiny little spirit medium daughter sure has grown up. Makes me feel old, pal!

I'm still catching up on this thing, so I look forward to finding out how you find food poisoning "cute" ...

Perhaps you can demonstrate that to some of the Borscht's prior patrons?

And my daughter's the magician, not the spirit medium. You'll want to talk to Mr. Toasterface for the latter.
