Menstuation UGH. WHY. I had a feeling this was coming. Certainly explains all of the bullshit feelings I've been having lately. Not having a period is so much better than having one. Goodbye, relatively stable self, welcome back, hormonal beast from the bowels of an emotional house of horrors.

I feel truly terrible about the way in which Bruno has pretty much become a second class citizen in this family since the baby came. What's worse is that he's more or less accepted his decline in the rankings with grace. Once, I had a feature that I liked, and it was my eyes. Now, in my eyes, I see age and exhaustion that render them void of beauty. So, it's official: I hate every single thing about myself, physically.

I am so extremely frustrated right now that I could cry. Nothing that I wanted or needed to happen today is going to happen. I feel like the baby was pretty much up all night starting at around 2 AM, before I even got a chance to go to sleep. I'm not really sure. Francisco is 5 months old now. Well, 20 weeks. I guess he'll officially be 5 months on April 10. We moved him into his crib this week. Up until now, he's been sleeping in our bed. Week 15 has been an eventful one in babydom. He giggled for the first time last Wednesday, when he turned 15 weeks exactly. I was reciting Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers, spitting my P's at him forcefully as I did so, and apparently it was funny enough to elicit the first giggle of his life.
