I would love a meditation/inspiration card.

For you, I drew Pigeon/Dove. Let’s start with the fact that pigeon and dove are two words for the same sort of bird…dove is usually applied to smaller (and often lighter-colored) varieties, while larger (and typically darker) varieties are considered pigeons. Pigeons typically get a bad reptutation as nuisance birds, scavengers and thieves, while doves are considered lovely and sweet and a popular symbol of peace. These birds have very strong wing muscles and are among the strongest fliers of all birds, and are highly maneuverable as well. These are also among the most adaptable of birds, having colonized virtually every environment on Earth, with the exceptions of the Arctic, Antarctic, and driest Sahara desert. These birds are also associated with water, being the only species that can suck water. These birds go back in the fossil record much as they are…there are few evidences of primitive/proto-pigeons. One of the most heartrending stories of extinction is that of the passenger pigeon. The pigeon/dove is truly THE bird, the bird’s ( ... )

Interesting; you got Penguin. This bird is associated with society, community, social graces, surprising sacrifice. Penguin, hobbled in one world and flying in another, brings a different perspective.

Hope that helps!

I know you are worried about people coming, but as long as one person joins you, you'll be fine.
I drew Magpie. This is generally a very good card and encourages you to take smart risks. It's possible some people who say they are coming won't follow through, but don't let this discourage you. However many people come, it should work out pretty well. Seven people coming might be less than ideal, but might be fine, too, and any other number will be positive. Relax and have a good time!

My internet access is still very limited, and email nonexistent, but I need all the information I can get right now...

*hug* I drew Eaglet. Service, devotion, usefulness, ancient, craggy, nobility (the noble officer), purity, maturity, independent, keeping yourself to yourself, neither a leader nor a follower. able to look the sun in the eye (seems so, anyway), the vision that comes with detachment from earthly things, the stereotypical Paladin, law-abiding, ascetic, etc. The eagle stone, placed on a woman’s thigh during childbirth, is supposed to ease the discomfort of birthing. However, eagles are also reputed to steal babies from time to time to raise as their own. This is the bird of knight.

I think this is a good sign. *more hugs*

In other words, I get to be good old reliable, sensible, helpful Ace, the person everyone turns to for advice and support, some more. However, I categorically refuse to be ascetic! :-)

*hugs

I cannot express how much I needed to see that the one card is still in play. I need some guidance about going back to school and/or getting a job.

Both Bluejay and Toucan popped up. Bluejay is the cheerful, flexible opportunist. Toucan teaches about turning what appears to be a negative into a positive. These cards clearly address your problem and I hope they help! *hug*
