Gremlins and Shamblies.

Yesterday the boiler behaved as if it had a gremlin inside it which was trying to get out with a sledge hammer. Seriously - the metal casing was buckling. So we turned the boiler off in the hope of stopping an immanent gremlin/boiler explosion. The Oast is a little bit cold today. My room is 13 degrees ( Read more... )

Possibly depends whether the boiler is feeling more old-Germanic or WWII American - I have yet to ascertain. Whichever little fey bastard it is it can stop fekking around with the boiler else I'll hit it with an iron skillet!

One I will have to give a miss, but the (potentially) bigger and more mysterious job I'm seeing if I can wrangle for a month or so down the line =)
