In which Corvid preaches about the Quality of Meekle...

(which, for the uninitiated, is a lot like the Quality of Mercy - but more whimsical somehow.)Everybody knows I make up my own bits of language and my own weird way of attempting to explain things ( Read more... )

Thank you =)
All this werble is primarily to remind me that small things are important (a fact I know in theory, but too often forget)... But it's also to tell anyone who might be in doubt that the small kindnesses or hurts we inflict day by day really can make a surprising amount of difference. They certainly make a difference to me when they happen =)

My local bookshop re-opened today and I went in after work because I was very excited by this. The people who work there greeted me like an old friend and instantly asked "How's the hand?". That cheered me.

I completely with the concept of meekle. I also bought a person at work a chocolate bar to say thankyou for sharing her lunch with me earlier in the week when I forgot mine. However, she wasn't in, so I ate it (that was my lunch today) so that might not count.

Your bookshop is obviously run by people who aren't strangers to the concept of 'meekle' =)

And the chocolate- bar-for-lunch exchange is entirely meekle - both her sharing the lunch and you repaying it (yep, even if she wasn't there).

Whilst we're on the subject, I don't know (for example) if you know quite how meekle your packages and story snippets have been to me and how they have helped stockpile whimsy and guard against bad days and stabby-headedness.

I'm sorry that the assortment of Odd/Undone which I owe (and am slowly stock piling) for you is awfully slow in coming. I am quite bad at this. But it gets there eventually. So long as it's whimsy-ful and meekle-ful when it finally arrives I figure that's *probably* okay....

My bookshop is extremely meekle!

As I have said quite a few times, and will say again and again for as many times as it is needed, I do not give things just so that I get things in return. So there is no need to apologise at all. I still haven't gotten around to the Undone LJ, for which I am very sorry.

And, while we are on the subject, I am very glad you find my packages and snippets of SH's insanity meekle because while I am not fool enough to believe that they can distract you entirely from poking holes in yourself or removing youself entirely from the world, I might be able to distract you for a tiny bit while the previous holes heal because I find you and your tolerance of me incredibly shiny and would miss you if you did not exist at all.

Just saying.

I think part of the thing about whimsy - for me anyways - is passing it on. Hence, when I am sent fun and meekle brilliant things, neurons plot to send meekle and hopefully brilliant replies - and get quite cross when I fail to do so in a timely fashion ( ... )

That was shiny. I am still trying to obtain meekle credits to set against my kill them, kill them all moments.

Makes perfect sense to me. I try to do small shiny things for people. And I like your words. :)

A timely reminder writ so prettily. You are always a million times more eloquent than I am! If I tried to say this, it would have been peppered with a lot of obscenities, I'm sure. :)
