I listened to Figgy McDuff's version of Henri Martin - lookitup, is fun. (This here isn't it, but works - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcrNySdHKDQ ) Then I wrote this ( Read more... )

Urgh. Nightmare. Hope you like it!

Nice filk though, I like the sentiments - it's very much the spit of a foc'sle, and you've kept the fantasy element low, which I think fits it. I may have bent a few of the words to fit, but a rough first draft all in all.

Tell me if you want anything done.

Love love!

*claps hands*

heeeeee! oh, that was shiny. and you fixed my awful scanning in the latter verse over 'vanished' which I hated but was too tired and braindead to sort - yey! (And although the syllables scanned (technically) in my rhyme I know at various points they scanned badly, so dropping words or adding some to correct the beat is fine and I'd far rather that then sticking to whatever 3am wibble I wrote and it sounding off.)

why was it a nightmare? *is utterly ignorant about the songmaking process despite occasionally making lyrics and blithely throwing them at people*

That was meekle - thank you =) And like I said, if it's of use to you in any way feel free to use it; if not, double thank you for taking the time to sing it for me =)

xx

Uh, I could just hear myself getting it wrong, and it irritates me when it happens. I guess it's kinda like you, and drawing floorboards for someone.

Anytime, darling - I mean it. Makes me feel all happy to a) do something nice for ya, and b) use my area of expertise (Ha!) to do something useful on a personal level.

While I'll always remember your chorus (Not to mention have it stuck in my head), we already do the original, and if I had to sing anything with "Isla de Muerta" in it, my mind immediately heads disney bound...

Which is to say.

I'm really glad you like it, love.
