Most people don't think about the ideas in fiction seriously.

But even if they did, I don't think it's important if you don't agree with views of characters you like. Hannible Lector is a really cool character that I like, but I don't agree killing and eating people is good.

Also Stark is a lefty in the new comic series.

Using Iron Man as an example may still be helpful though. Especially the situations he gets in and asking them what he should have done instead.

True that people don't usually think about ideas in fiction, and that some characters are "cool" but not good. But I think Iron Man will be useful in this particular example. And of course I intend to use the best Iron Man I can to try and prove my point.

"People hate America... but people LOVE Iron Man!"

This post, 100%. XDD

Tony Stark in the recent movie was amazing. Recent comics....not so much. "His valiant battle against..ALCOHOLISM!" "But what about the terrorists? What about evil monsters that stone women and mutilate their own children?" "Ah, but Tony must first fight the monsters... IN HIS MIND!" "..I'm going to Burger King! D:"

So apparently there's an Iron Man 2 and there's more amazing Objectivist stuff planned for it. I want to find this hidden Randian and suck on his face until he understands how much I love him.

He doesn't think about that.

He probably *does* sit there going "Yep, doing a good job. Wonder if I can finally cram in Stark saying 'I swear, by my life and my love of it...'"
