I've been in your home - it's a lovely home! Seriously. You've got a lovely little, welcoming porch. And your living room downstairs is gorgeous - I love the wall colour, and the layout. It's bright and airy, and you have beautiful pieces in it. I like how your kitchen opens up into the rest of the living space; it's accessible, and large with lots of benchspace, and perfect for a couple of kids to sit and and do homework while dinner is being cooked. Your upstairs rooms are lovely, too, with beautiful views. And your bathroom! It's massive, and its features are beautiful!

the appraiser was a douchebag. In this post-GFC world, banks are being overly cautious. I'm sorry that you didn't get the chance to re-finance, but know that your home is not shabby nor neglected.

Thanks for the nice compliments.

I love this house and our neighbourhood and boo on that rat for being so mean.

I think I'm going to finish the painting in January though. I've left it long enough and it will be a happy thing to do when it's so nasty and cold outside.

That sucks. I'm with alivicwil. Your house is awesome. The work you've done is amazing. When gmajor gave me the big tour, he'll attest that I was all gushy about the upstairs bathroom (perhaps the wrong word...). You've done amazing things with the house. The value is one thing, but you guys have made it truly yours, and honestly, you've made it a home in every sense of the word. Don't let the bastards keep you down.
