You should have no problems with the chocolates. You can take liquids, they just need to be in containers 100ml or less and fit into 1 qt ziploc bag

Thanks! Although I am thinking with all this snow and shoveling, I may break into the chocolates so it will be a moot point ;)

Oh, flying can be SO much better than the train for long journeys! Damtrak and I have had our share of problems since the 90's. At least we have a spiffy, new train station in STL once again - I just wish if one wanted to do a longer cross country journey, one wouldn't have to go up to Chicago or KC to start their trip.

As Vecturist said, no problems with snacks, as long as they are easily identifiable as snacks.

We just need puddle jumpers, gosh darn it! *lol*

I see that your region is going to get hammered with a lot of snow. I wish you luck and hope that the trees are not going to take out your power again.

Hadn't heard the term Damtrak but after last year, I swore I wouldn't take it that distance again, so although it will cost a bit more, I'm flying.

Oh man, I'd kill for a puddle jumper. The commute would be so much nicer. Oh wait, I'd use it to ferry people around and get rich! ;)

Yup, more snow. Sigh. More shoveling. This time though may be snow and ice.I'm hoping the ice avoids us. Don't want trees down or power out. Shudder.
