I think Glee has an interesting attitude toward narrative justice, particularly with Kurt's character. It's part of the hyper-realism of Glee, I suppose, but it makes aspects of the show hard (emotionally) to watch.
Yes! I was furious after the Season 3 finale and the cliffhanger for Kurt ("Come on, they could have at least had him discussing his rejection and/or plans with Blaine or Burt, that would give us some resolution!"), but when I saw 4.01, it became absolutely clear why they gave us no resolution: Because Kurt didn't feel any. He was lost and wandering. Really, these writers know what they're doing, even when I'd prefer they didn't ( ... )

I like pieces like this one. Where the story isn't resolved, where the point is the emotions or the theme, not the resolving and storyline. Where you're left with more questions than when you started, instead of answers.
I like how each character notices the change, but either doesn't dare confront Kurt about it, or respects and sees Kurt on such a high level, that it couldn't be that this is what's going on. Thank you.

I'm glad the not-resolving worked for you. I pondered whether to resolve it, but everything I came up with felt forced. And I hope that New York is going to be Kurt's big beginning and help him get over the slump that 4.01 showed him experiencing (whether or not to the extent he did in this fic), but I don't know if that's going to happen. I'll just have to watch and see.

I mean, not resolving instead of forcing something into the fic is the best choice. Also, I'm not sure it would have fitted into what you had. This way it can be canon and fit seamlessly into the show.
I hope so as well. I mean, he's jump through a lot more hoops to get there, more so than Rachel and he deserves this so much. *clings to you and crosses fingers* We can hope together.

I just thankgod that people have noticed that not all is well with him, in the hopes that they might be able to help him turn things around.

That, or getting sent off to New York would kick him out of his rut and he'd return to his old self again without any interventions. I've seen that happen before, too.
Oops, I just threw story outlines at you. I meant to say thank you for reading and for your kind words!
