We all know the pain of between-expac doldrums, but there is a silver lining to that cloud: Lots of time to work on personal achievements or Bucket List items
( Read more... )
No, seriously, I'm 9 Inscription recipes (3 Timeless drops, the rest world drops) and 12 Enchanting recipes (still working on levelling my mage to get the rep for the 6 rep required ones, the others...are pretty much hopeless since they only drop from Ulduar and stuff) away from having all the Inscription and Enchanting recipes learned.
Isle of Giants. The ability to tame Direhorns. I've had no freaking luck soloing that island, and no luck finding people to farm the item that lets you tame direhorns.
I have a Horde and Alliance hunter who need this thing as well, if you want we could try to get it together? Or I can just help you get it, I have another friend who would help me on my own.
I have both Horde and Alliance Hunters (and other 90s) if you want help. I've done them on three of my hunters so far and would be happy to help! Rosz#1444
Honestly, I'd love to go back and use this time to finish up some old reps BUT that being said I'm working on some archaeology achievements! I WILL get my 'Seeker of Knowledge' title!
I'm doing archy as well... trade in ALL THE ARTIFACTS for Tol'vir fragments. Crawling Claw, I swear you will be mine! I got the darn sandstone drake, I will get you!
You're right, I need to work on those pets and mounts from raids and dungeons.
Let's see, in no particular order:
1) Finish getting my battle pets to 25, start working on the Celestial Tournament pets. 2) Thinking I should get Lorekeeper on my night elf druid and troll shaman. 3) Old dungeons/raids for pets and mounts 4) Need 200 mounts but I'm not sure how likely this is any time soon. 5) Level my troll priest to 90 (currently 59) 6) Level my troll monk to 90 (currently 50) 7) Level my night elf DK to 90 (currently 87, he's really close) 8) Dwarf priest needs to grind motes of harmony to make the engineering mount 9) Make some gold! :D 10) Finish questing on the 90s, it's decent money
I'm not sure whether it's a blessing or a curse that I'm good at mindless, repetitive tasks.
If you have an alt you want to level up through the doldrum levels (basically anything from 60 onwards) I've found that you can level up lots and lots of pets and level alts at the same time, tres efficient!
Is your dwarf priest doing Celestials and Ordos every week? The chests of gold they drop in lieu of actual loot sometimes contains motes of harmony! Aside from that, of course, there's always Sunsong Ranch.
The dwarf priest (and night elf hunter) actually leveled through pet battles! After getting 4 characters to 90 via MoP quests, I decided to do pet battling instead for those two.
I should start the dwarf priest on Celestials and Ordos, but he's a brand new 90 and gets killed if he ventures too far beyond the courtyard on TI. :D Also, since he is my 6th 90, he doesn't have the farm rep for the motes. I should work on that.
I don't really have much of a bucket list to post atm because I'm at work, but is the inevitable stat squish going to make it difficult/impossible to solo old dungeons and raids again? =/ If so, there goes my dream of having Ashes of Al'ar one day.
I've heard them say they plan to do something to avoid the stat squish affecting your ability to solo past content -- but so far I haven't heard any plans as to how, exactly, they intend to do that. So who knows, yet?
I know I've read a blue post where they said you'd still be able to solo old instances/dungeons. I thought stats were getting squished across the board, so not just players but NPCs/mobs would have reduced stats as well.

AS A BEASTMASTER HUNTER THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
