vuhdo has an option to hide the standard blizz raid frames (the thing with the arrow on the right side). i did have a bunch of suggestions to alter the vuhdo frames to fit being a cat better but if you also use the vuhdo for healing then it's probably not a good idea to change it around so much. you can change the scale of windows though so that may help. i also find that when i'm healing i don't need the buff watch thing - you can turn that off somewhere in the buff tabs. (i only use the vuhdo buff watch thing when im on my disc priest and my lock. otherwise it's deactivated.)

second you've got claw in your 5 slot. when i kitty i don't use claw at all. but you weren't really asking about that.

Probably a stupid question, but if I'm forced to DPS from the front of a boss (stacking for cleave or when i need to be in range for the healers) should I default to mangle for CP since I can't use shred?

Yes, Mangle, IIRC, is better DPS than Claw. :)

Mangle (35 Energy): Mangle the target for 540% normal damage plus 56 and causes the target to take 30% additional damage from bleed effects for 1 min. Awards 1 combo point.

Claw (40 Energy): Claw the enemy, causing 155% of normal damage plus 710. Awards 1 combo point.

Once you turn level 10 and spec feral, remove Claw from your bars and never put it back.

The first thing I'd suggest is to reduce your UI scale. You'll find yourself with a LOT more screen real estate and it won't be as cluttered.

I used to know where it was, but since they've added/changed options, I don't recall offhand. It's under Options somewhere, NOT Interface, however.

I've heard many people like NeedToKnow for the bleed tracking and similar debuffs.

Thanks! I didn't even know reducing the scale was an option, which... goes to show how much I know. I'll find it.

What about a packaged interface like TukUI?

It's been my layout for ages and I love it. This is an example of what it might look like. (Ignore the achievement spam.) It's pretty easy to customize now too in case you have other addon preferences for some of the features. There's also lots of action bars for spells/abilities and profession/mounts/misc things you might want access to. Or if you find there's too many action bars, you can hide some of them too. There's also a ClassTimers addon I use, written specifically to work with TukUI interfaces, to show player/target buffs and debuffs (in the example screenshot it's the bars on top of the player unit frame).

There's also the ElvUI variant as well. It's undergoing a severe re-write and is pretty much updating itself every other day right now, but I love it. It's super low usage and extremely configurable (you used to have to edit raw lua, but you don't anymore, Elv has built-in configuration!) I got Elv because I didn't like Tuk's fonts, and I haven't looked back.

(Elv and Tuk are based on the same core UI replacement)

I recently rearranged my UI and love it now. I don't have a SS but will get one for you when realms are back and I have a chance to log on (probably later tonight).
I basically google UI (or hunter UI, paladin UI, etc) and look at the image results, then go from there. I am an add-on fiend and like to arrange things myself as opposed to using a packaged UI. That way I put things exactly where I like them and don't have to DL stuff I won't use.

One big thing I'd recommend is replacing the standard UI bar with something like bartender/bongoes. It lets you customize the location, size, orientation, and transparency of bars. I found this helps free up a good bit of space.
