Great letter!

:( This incident makes me very sad. I have a very limited social circle outside wow and I really really don't want to leave what few friends I do have.

This. Wow is my primary social outlet these days, for a variety of reasons. I don't want to cancel my one connection to other people, but, I can't condone that behavior, either.

I was starting to think I'd resub, what with all the interesting things I was hearing about the next expansion. Seeing what happened at Blizzcon and the surrounding can't-you-take-a-joke and missing-the-point and general ugliness is changing my mind.

It's a good letter. Thanks for showing us.

It's bloody hard finding an actual meatspace address for them that isn't for billing. I don't want it getting lost in a pile. :(

I play both factions, couldn't care less about faction loyalty or the idea of them insulting Alliance. I'm infuriated and frankly sickened by the homophobia on display and essentially endorsed by Blizzard by putting it on a stage along with one of their devs. I'm cancelling my subscription, and won't be renewing, buying future expansions, or supporting the game or Blizzard in any other games unless this is walked back, and walked back HARD, with some sincere, PUBLIC official apologies. There's just no excuse for this being allowed to happen. The fact that anyone is defending it as just a joke is reprehensible.

So, very much cosigning this letter, and well said. I'll link it if given an opportunity!
