DotA raiding!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give you a quick heads up on where we are with DotA raiding.

The tentative plan (plans are subject to change) is to start looking to raid after the holidays are over (so roughly January 9th). Hopefully we will have a good class balance of people geared up and ready to go at that point.

Raid days: Friday and Saturday

Can we set up some dungeon runs to start gearing people?

Officers won't be setting up runs on behalf of guild members, but members are always welcome to use LJ, the Facebook group, or even in-game calendar to set up pre-arranged dungeon runs (which personally I've had more success with in the past than asking in gchat if anyone wants to run a dungeon, as often people will already be in the middle of something).

One thing I would be sure to mention when setting up these runs is a set, specific time you will be going so that there's no confusion about when to log on :)

I'm still hoping to be able to raid, but I'll probably be unable to log in until closer to 7:30 on Fridays due to a change in work schedule. How much flexibility is there? For example if I wanted to just raid on Saturdays would that be a possibility?

There will be lots of flexibility! Because these are flex raids, as long as we have the role balance to support it (good healers:dps ratio), people should be able to drop in/out whenever they like! So you could most likely join late on Fridays.

Only raiding on Saturdays would also be a possibility! The only potential issue is at least at first, Saturdays will likely be the progression nights where we are most likely to be working on bosses and not kill as much stuff. Once more raids come out, then we can probably alternate it a bit and Saturdays wouldn't necessarily always have to be progression.
