DotA raiding!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give you a quick heads up on where we are with DotA raiding.

The tentative plan (plans are subject to change) is to start looking to raid after the holidays are over (so roughly January 9th). Hopefully we will have a good class balance of people geared up and ready to go at that point.

Raid days: Friday and Saturday
Raid times: 7pm-9pm (Saturday raids may start 30 min earlier if we want to give more time for progression)
Difficulty: Normal mode (could change sometimes, but Normal is where we'll have our focus)

Tentative Raiding Requirements (again, subject to change)
- Silver Proving grounds completed in the role you are signing up for
- DPS requirement TBD
- iLvl - 630 (due to LFR availability, we might tweak this up a bit but will determine later)
- Gems - at least green-quality gems in each slot
- Enchants - every slot should be enchanted within reason (no one will ask you to spend 8000g to enchant a blue weapon)
- Mumble must be installed and you must be able to listen (mic not required) ( Mumble info)
- Boss mods installed (we aren't fussed on which boss mod, but you should have one)

We will be checking gems, enchants, and ilvl before seating you for a raid, and mumble will be required on raid night. We'll be going off the honor system for the rest for the most part. If we find there is a problem, we'll speak to you individually. If you have any questions, please ask an officer!

----

So for now just focus on gearing up and having fun :)

We're also looking at testing out some forums so we won't need a LiveJournal requirement anymore, especially since many new members of the guild don't already have an LJ (unlike the old days) and probably never check LJ again/remember their account details after they make their account. We're currently working on updating the raid website though, so we won't be looking into forums until after that. More info when we have something to tell you all :)
