Yesterday's walk around Les Arques with Karine was fun, and I saw this frog.

It's a very serious-looking frog. I am used to our common frogs that look a bit more comical and perky with a bit of a grin to them. Being a marsh frog is clearly much more serious. Or perhaps he is angsting about not being green enough.

Yep, he's definately not a happy frog! The wikipedia photo showed a more golden eye, as well, so he has quite a bit to worry about.

You could post his portrait at the Open University website - www.ispotnature.org... The herpetologists there don't get enough to do!
