Today is the 30th anniversary of the violent death of Steve Biko. Biko was an anti-apartheid activist during the 60s-70s in South Africa. He encourage "Black Consciousness",the idea of the urban black populace to have pride in themselves and to better themselves. However, the South African Government jailed him, beat him, and starve him to death
