Actually, the JLA film is only partly CGI'd.... Supposedly, it'll be a mix of live-action and CGI/motion-capture, not a completely CG/mo-cap like Beowulf or The Polar Express. The mo-cap will be just for any CG characters, sorta like Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films...
Of course, it's not even officially on Warner's production list but filming supposedly starts in a little over a month. Allegedly some of the rumored cast have been seen in, or are all staying at, a particular hotel in Sidney so I guess we'll see if it starts then or not.
I really, really hope it's partly CG'd. I've been keeping up with the rumors thanks to houseofel and Superman Homepage, and it's been very scarce lately.
Do you think the CG part will be used when Superman is flying or Batman is swinging through the city, but the rest are live action? That would make sense, and I wouldn't mind that at all. I'd hate to watch Batman sitting around in the cave and all we're seeing is a CGI version of him instead of some cute actor... you know? :\
I'm not sure if they'd use the CG for flying or zip line stunts or not, like they did with Spidey in those films or with Harry Potter playing Quiditch in the first HP film.
However, I do think the CG characters are going to be like Martian Manhunter and the OMACs, which is the rumored story line they're using from the comics...
That should be okay because I can't imagine them doing a live-action MM with any real credibility, not in his alien form anyway. His human form should be played by an actor, of course, but when he's green the CGI character makes sense especially in his natural form.
